Zander flew to New York City for Fashion Week to participate in the fashion show and after party at the Nexus Townhouse in Manhattan, NY at 54th & 6th Street.
He worked with beautiful model, Tessa Shimizu, with the assistance of accessory designer, Shell Weinz, who filmed the installation. After meeting up with Tessa and discussing the possibilities, materials, and various methods of creating and presenting the work, they contemplated on the best method for presentation. They decided to do the installation outside in front of the Nexus Townhouse, rather than inside, as Zander was invited to do by artist Brad Baker, who flew in from Berlin for the party. This was the most strategic presentation to maximize exposure and the optimize the attention they would grab.
Setting up and working in front of the Nexus Townhouse turned out to be the perfect meeting point, proving to draw people from the outside in and the people from the inside out. They sparked an interest from people in line awaiting to enter the party, from people coming out, and they even stopped traffic a few times, with some cars even throwing on the reverse to back up and get a better look.
A beautiful part Japanese and part European babe, Tessa stole the show. Wearing a statement of anti fashion crafted by Zander even caught attention from Modacycle.com journalist, Kari Jensen, who was covering the entire NYC Fashion Week. They were both interviewed by Kari and after the completion of the X Fashion installation, they proceeded to step on the red carpet, taking the elevator up to the party.
Upon entering, they instantly began mingling with the guests, ranging from countries such as Pakistan, Spain, Turkey, and Germany, and including designers and models alike. All were instantly infatuated with the couple gracing the party in their underwear, only wearing paints.
Tessa sparkled on the rooftop and drank coconut water of all assorted flavors. After mingling and showing off the art, Zander & Tessa left.
Days later we worked again with Tessa on an X Fashion installation in Central Park.
Tessa-with a double major and having graduated with honors-has done print work, was featured on a dating web series-to name a few-and continues modeling, based in NYC. Aside from modeling, she also takes pride in her job as a drug counselor, as she is very keen on helping people through difficult times and possesses the compassion and supporting demeanor to help any persevere.
Tessa is 5'9", with a very curvaceous build, excellent skin and long, voluptuous hair ready for styling. Her personality is genuine, down to earth, and amiable. She possesses true integrity, is honest, hardworking and has a very exotic look, enabling her to pull off any type of look that an agency or photographer is looking to achieve. With the fine balance and combination of her background, experience, and education, she is very fun to work with. She takes direction exceptionally well, but is also helpful at suggesting ideas-possessing fine improvisational skills, and masters going with the flow just as seamlessly.
Each experience working with Tessa flowed as if we'd worked together dozens of times before. She was very humble, yet confident, and was incredibly graceful. Her physique is flawless, with long, tone, legs, an incredible torso, and magnificent breasts. Not to mention her beautiful countenance, and again we must reiterate her gorgeous, long, flowing hair, providing infinite possibilities. She is a photographer's dream, and any hair stylist and makeup artist for that matter. We would recommend her a dozen times over to any and all agencies, photographers, or anyone looking for a perfect model for just about any look they want to pull off. She has everything anyone could ask for in a model and is perfect for print, catalogue, and advertising. She's clearly proved herself as a performance artist, with runway, body painting, and even having worked in television.

VWInk Agency Presents: Featured Model, Iesha "Diamond" Upshaw
Iesha Upshaw, better known as Diamond, is a model and go-go dancer who is working with us and will be working with us more in the future.
She first met with mixed media artist and body paint extraordinaire, Jacob AleXander, at Espresso Royale in downtown Minneapolis:
Following the first consultation and brief introduction, she was selected to participate in a live performance event with Jacob AleXander, which took place on the day many thought the world would end, Saturday, May 21st, 2011.
We all met at Nick And Eddie-Diamond showed just how committed, how reliable she is to her career in modeling by arriving over a half-hour early. Norell took that time to interview her once more, outside of Minneapolis restaurant, Nick and Eddie, where they may have spent their last hours.
The interview furthered excitement for the upcoming installation of the Edible Art Series-"Smores Edition"-a body art installment in which Diamond will star in with Jacob AleXander in a mess of everyone's favorite campfire treat.
Following the interview, we reveled for a moment that we hadn't experienced a rapture, as predicted by some. And then, having some time before the surprise that Xander had in store for all of Nick And Eddy, photo shoots commenced.

And because I know you all are waiting to see what the surprise was, here is one angle of the night's performance:
Only the audience-everyone who was present at Nick And Eddy-truly experienced the magic on stage; however, I tried my best to capture it for all you to enjoy:
And the gem, the star of the night's performance. Xander could not have had a better model on stage with him.
Mind you, the entire performance was improvised within 7 minutes, and this was Diamond's very first time, not only working with the artist, but her first time being body painted as well.
The piece was not about the complexity of the design, but rather the emphasis of surprise and a tease of Xander's latest fusion of food and paint.
Stay tuned for the Edible Art Series-"Smores Edition", and other treats to come.
